Iranian President Seyed Ibrahim Raisi attended the emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Saudi Arabia. Mohammad Jamshidi, political deputy director of the Iranian president’s office, said that information.
According to Iranian media, he wrote on social networks that President Raisi had a meeting with Turkish President Erdogan on the sidelines of the ECO Summit in Uzbekistan. In that meeting, President Raisi emphasized that there is a serious risk of the conflict spreading if the Riyadh meeting does not play an effective role in helping the people of Gaza.
He said that the people of the world are getting disappointed about the effective role of Muslim countries.
The OIC said in a statement that the organization’s emergency meeting is being held to review the situation in Gaza.
Incidentally, the Islamic resistance movement Hamas Al-Aqsa launched Operation Tufan on October 7 in response to the arrest and torture of Palestinians, including the 7-decade occupation and 10-year blockade of Gaza. In the history of illegitimate and occupying Israel, the operation was a surprise that crushed all their pride. To cover that grief, they killed more than 10,000 Palestinians by indiscriminately bombing innocent Gazans. More than 27 thousand were injured.
