Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has been admitted to a hospital in Mexico. He was scheduled to speak at a conference in Mexico City.
Wozniak (72) was scheduled to speak at the World Business Forum on Wednesday afternoon. But he suddenly lost consciousness and was rushed to the hospital. One of the organizers of the conference said this information on condition of anonymity. No details were given about Wozniak’s health and current condition.
Local media in Mexico reported that Wozniak suffered a stroke and was admitted to a private hospital. His condition is now ‘stable’.
Wozniak and Steve Jobs, a software engineer by profession, founded Apple, the famous iPhone, together in 1976. Steve Jobs died in 2011.
Wozniak’s speech at the business forum focused on his work with Steve Jobs and the risks of technology, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and cryptocurrencies.
