Delta, United Airlines, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Air India canceled all further flights to Israel.
Israel killed Hezbollah’s top military commander Fouad Sukhar and Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh late on Wednesday night in Tehran, Iran, after attacking Lebanon on Tuesday. Since then, there has been a fear of an Iranian attack in the country. As a result, seven airlines have canceled flights in the country.
Israeli media reported this information on Thursday.
According to media reports, Delta, United Airlines, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Air India have canceled all further flights to Israel.
On Thursday morning, a German Lufthansa flight landed in Larnaca, Cyprus instead of Tel Aviv, Israel. The flight’s crew refused to enter Israeli airspace, so it did not return to Tel Aviv.
Fly Dubai has also canceled some of its pre-scheduled flights.
Israeli media reported that 70,000 people are now staying at Ben Gurin Airport in Tel Aviv. Most of them are trying to leave Israel. Some have come to cancel their tickets. They fear that if they leave Israel now, they will not be able to return for the next few days.
Occupying Israel killed Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Palestinian independence group Hamas, in Tehran, the capital of Iran. Iran then threatened to retaliate for the attack. Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has ordered a direct attack on Israel.
Iranian officials are going to meet with representatives of Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen to decide the plan to attack Israel.
