The King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz, is giving the opportunity to perform Hajj free of charge to two thousand residents of Gaza, who have been affected by Israel’s eight months of continuous aggression.
In total, under this initiative, two thousand Palestinians will have the opportunity to perform Hajj in Saudi Arabia free of cost.
According to King Salman’s royal directive, Saudi Arabia has taken the initiative of ‘Hosting Initiative for Pilgrims from the Families of Martyrs and the Wounded from the Gaza Strip’ to bring pilgrims from the families of martyrs from the Gaza Strip to Saudi Arabia. A total of 2,000 pilgrims from Palestine will come to Saudi Arabia under this initiative.
Sheikh Abdul Latif bin Abdul Aziz Al-Shaikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance of Saudi Arabia, said that this step highlights our country’s (Saudi Arabia’s) unwavering support for Palestine at all levels.
Sheikh Abdul Latif bin Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh also said that this exceptional initiative will alleviate some of the hardships faced by the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Such humanitarian approach of the Saudi government is not new. Since the founding of Saudi Arabia under King Abdulaziz, the country has stood by the Palestinian people.
