“More than just an item, the golden frame is a symbol of national pride, unity, and the profound love residents hold for the father of the nation.”
Driven by passion and exceptional craftsmanship, two UAE jewelers have created a world record-breaking tribute to the Father of the Nation, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. They’ve unveiled a magnificent 21-karat gold frame, intricately surrounding a high-quality portrait of Sheikh Zayed with iconic landmarks from all seven emirates.
Making its debut at the 55th Middle East Watch and Jewellery Show, organized by Expo Centre Sharjah, this opulent piece has secured a Guinness World Record as the planet’s largest gold frame.”
- “This lavish creation has been unveiled at the 55th Middle East Watch and Jewellery Show, hosted by Expo Centre Sharjah, and Sharjah has officially claimed a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest gold frame. This monumental piece is the result of a collaboration between Golden Arabia Jewellery and Yogesh Jewellery Factory, a family-run business that has called Sharjah home since 1973. The golden frame isn’t intended for sale; instead, it serves as a heartfelt symbol of national pride, unity, and the profound affection many residents hold for Sheikh Zayed.

“It was then we realized this wasn’t ordinary; it had record-breaking potential. That’s when we approached Guinness World Records.”
The frame features intricate gold carvings of seven iconic landmarks from various emirates, such as the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Burj Khalifa, and the Quran Roundabout in Sharjah. It masterfully blends matte and polished finishes to emphasize the depth and texture of each monument. “The high-resolution photograph of Sheikh Zayed, positioned centrally, is truly set like a jewel within the frame.”
The team finished the project in just three months. Nirmal stated that 30 skilled artisans dedicated 10 hours a day, five days a week, accumulating over 19,500 man-hours.
Golden Arabia Jewellery: A Royal Vision Realized
“The concept and design for this distinctive piece were born from the vision of Golden Arabia Jewellery’s owners and our devoted team. Our mission was to bring that vision to life,” Nirmal explained. “It’s entirely handcrafted, with only a few specific components precisely formed using 3D printing technology.”
Ali Hasan Saleh Al Yafeai, owner of Golden Arabia Jewellery, revealed the inspiration behind this exceptional creation. “The idea sparked after the Sharjah royal family visited the Golden Arabia pavilion at a previous exhibition,” he recalled. “They were particularly drawn to a gold necklace featuring the iconic shape of the Museum of the Future. They encouraged us to craft something even more extraordinary for the next exhibition,” Ali added.
“That stayed with me. I didn’t want to create something just for business. I wanted to express what I feel for this country and for Baba Zayed. This frame is a tribute, and it’s not for sale. It doesn’t have a price tag, it’s priceless.”
Ali said that his entire family contributed to the concept and collaborated closely with the craftsmen at Yogesh Jewellery to make it a reality.
“It’s very heavy to lift, but my love for the father of the nation is heavier,” Ali said with emotion.
The makers said that this magnificent frame is not just an artistic marvel, it stands as a glowing symbol of the UAE’s unity, vision, and the enduring legacy of Sheikh Zayed.
