Hezbollah praised the fighters for their “heroic and honorable resistance”, citing the attack as a response to Israeli aggression against the Lebanese and Palestinians.
Lebanese fighters launched a rocket attack on Israel. The Lebanese group said the fighters launched a rocket attack targeting the city of Haifa on Friday (October 4) morning. However, no death or damage was immediately reported in the incident.
Hezbollah said the attack targeted the Israeli city of Haifa at 7 a.m. local time. Hezbollah praised the fighters for their “heroic and honorable resistance”, citing the attack as a response to Israeli aggression against the Lebanese and Palestinians.
However, no statement was received from the Israeli army regarding this attack.
Meanwhile, Israel carried out 11 consecutive airstrikes in South Beirut on Thursday (October 3). Hezbollah said it was the deadliest attack since the start of its ground campaign in Lebanon.
On the other hand, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has landed in the country’s capital Beirut amid the unstable situation in Lebanon. An Iranian plane carrying Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi landed at Rafiq Hariri International Airport. It was the first visit by a top Iranian official since Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli strike in Beirut last week.
Abbas Aragchi is scheduled to meet Lebanon’s caretaker prime minister Najib Mikati and parliament speaker Nabih Berri during the visit. Many believe that he will deliver a message to Lebanon from Iran’s supreme leader.
