The Dubai Police received 25,107 calls during the recent adverse weather conditions, with 21,300 calls made to the emergency number (999) and 3,807 calls to the Call Centre (901).
Additionally, 575 traffic reports were recorded by the force’s Command and Control Centre
901 Brigadier Mansoor Algargawi, director of the General Department of Administrative Affairs, explained that the Call Centre (901) received 3,807 calls during the recent weather fluctuations, emphasising that the 901 Call Centre is designated for receiving non-emergency calls, answering inquiries about various Dubai Police services and any police and security-related questions in Dubai.
“The centre operates with officers and personnel of high professionalism and efficiency to respond quickly and provide excellent service that exceeds customers’ expectations,” Algargawi said.
999 Colonel Muhammad Al Muhairi, Director of the Command and Control Centre at the General Department of Operations, clarified that the emergency number (999) received 21,300 calls coinciding with the weather fluctuations and heavy rains that affected the country, in addition to recording 575 traffic reports during the same period.
Al Muhairi assured that the centre is fully prepared to receive calls around the clock, ensuring quick and accurate responses to emergency situations and reports, whether during official working hours or on various holidays, as the safety and security of individuals is a top priority for Dubai Police.
