A terrorist attack took place at a police station in Pakistan’s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. 10 policemen were killed. 6 more policemen were injured in this incident.
This incident happened on Sunday (February 4) night. Pakistan is due to hold general elections next Thursday (February 8) and the attack happened just three days before that.
According to the police, the terrorist groups attacked with heavy weapons around 3 pm on Sunday.
Militant attacks have increased in Pakistan. Such attacks have increased since 2022, especially targeting security personnel after the ceasefire between the Pakistani Taliban and the government broke down.
Draban Deputy Superintendent of Police Malik Anis ul Hasan said, “After entering the police station, the terrorists used hand grenades.” As a result of which there are more casualties among the policemen.
