It is the highest hanging mosque in the world and the highest hanging prayer place in the world. This towering mosque is located next to the holy Kaaba Sharif.
The location of the mosque is 1,584 feet above sea level. The height of which will be equal to a 53-storey building. That is why from the mosque you can see the Kaaba Sharif and the city of Mecca. Besides, the beauty of other religious buildings of Mecca can also be enjoyed.
It is said that the beauty of many historical buildings including the Holy Kaaba, Mecca Museum, Masjidul Jinn, Jannatul Mualla Cemetery, Abraaj Al Bait can also be enjoyed from this tower.
At the same time, the worshipers can directly see the scene of the five times prayer of the Holy Kaaba Sharif from this mosque. Besides, the digital sound system of the mosque will be coordinated with the Kaaba. The area of the mosque is 550 square meters. Here 520 worshipers can pray together.
The mosque was built by Makkah Real Estate Company, a well-known organization in Saudi Arabia. This mosque is built on a hanging bridge between two pairs of towers located next to the Kaaba. The name of this tower is Jabal Omar Tower.
The bridge was originally built at a height of 1,23 feet above the ground with the latest technology and specially designed components. Later it was placed at a fixed location at a height of 1,584 feet. The steel bridge weighs 650 tons. It connects the 36th, 37th and 38th floors of the two buildings of Jabal Omar Tower.
