Iranian human rights activist Nargis Mohammadi, who won the Nobel Peace Prize, was sentenced to another 15 months in prison. He has been accused of spreading anti-national propaganda while in prison.
According to a report on Tuesday (January 16), Nargis has already served 12 years in jail on various charges. Currently, he is kept in Evin Prison in Tehran.
However, in the new sentence, Nargis will be kept out of Tehran for two years in addition to imprisonment. He will not be able to leave the country for two years even after serving the sentence. Cannot join any political or social group. You can’t even use the mobile phone at that time.
Since March 2021, Nargis Mohammadi has been sentenced five times. He has been arrested 13 times so far. Nargis Mohammadi has been working to protect human rights for decades. Because of which the government has to be blindfolded again and again.
