The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, has stated that stability and security in the Middle East will not be restored unless Israel’s occupation comes to an end in the entire Palestinian territory.
Osama Hamdan, a member of the organization’s political bureau, expressed this view during a press conference in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, on Saturday.
Hamdan called for the global community, especially the United States and Britain, to respect the sovereignty and Muslim interests of other countries by abandoning interventionist attitudes. He criticized the aggressive policies of Washington and London, claiming that such policies have left nations worldwide abandoned and alienated. He highlighted the strong condemnation from various countries against Israeli atrocities in Gaza as a response to these policies.
While denouncing Israel’s brutal actions and aggression, Hamdan asserted that the Zionist state has failed to achieve any objectives in Gaza despite its attempts at genocide and destruction. He emphasized that a cessation of hostilities is essential for the release of Palestinian prisoners held by Israel in Gaza.
Hamdan also noted that despite Israel’s Nazi-like tactics, it has not been able to break the strong morale and unity of the Palestinian people. Referring to the recent setbacks faced by Israel, he stated that the more aggression continues against Gaza, the more likely it is to face defeat. He declared that the Palestinian people have thwarted all Israeli conspiracies so far and expressed confidence in the success of the Al-Aqsa Typhoon campaign.
Meanwhile, the Gaza Strip has endured Israeli military aggression for over 100 days, resulting in the deaths of nearly 24,000 Palestinians, with around 70% being women and children. Additionally, more than 60,000 Palestinians have been injured during this prolonged conflict.
