Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal can be arrested at any time this Thursday (December 4) morning. Aam Aadmi Party leaders have expressed such fears. They have already gathered at the party office.
Leaders claimed that he could be arrested this time as he failed to appear on the third summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the Delhi liquor scam.
The Aam Aadmi Party has claimed that it has received information that Delhi Chief Minister and party supremo Arvind Kejriwal is likely to be arrested by the ED and Delhi Police on Thursday morning. At this time, the search will be conducted in his residence as well.
Amid fears of Kejriwal’s arrest and an ED raid at his residence, thousands of party leaders have already gathered at the party headquarters, including his residence, to protest. Security has been beefed up outside Kejriwal’s residence.
ED summons Kejriwal on Wednesday (January 3) for questioning in Delhi liquor scam case. He avoided the summons. In a response to the investigating agency, he said he was ready to cooperate with the investigation. However, he termed the notice as ‘illegal’.
Kejriwal also avoided two summons on November 2 and December 21 last year. The AAP supremo also termed those summons as ‘illegal’ and ‘politically motivated’.
