The Middle Eastern country has announced a possible date for the start of the holy month of Ramadan in 2024 in the United Arab Emirates.
The new date was announced by the Emirates Astronomical Society (EAS), the country’s astronomical body.
Earlier on December 12, the country’s Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) said on the organization’s website that the holy month of Ramadan may begin on March 12 (Tuesday).
Then on December 20, Dubai Timeout reported that the new date for the start of Ramadan has been fixed on March 11, one day ahead of the earlier date.
Meanwhile, when the month of Ramadan begins on March 11, the devout Muslims will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on April 10 after fasting for 29 or 30 days.
