As the UAE continues its humanitarian aid to war-torn Gaza, here in Abu Dhabi, there is a heartwarming development with a Palestinian couple becoming parents to a baby girl during a midnight stroke on the occasion of UAE Union Day.
At 12.01 am, Palestinian expatriate couple Ashraf Khedr and Lamais Mohammed celebrated the birth of their fourth child at Burjeel Royal Hospital in Al Ain. And in a touching tribute, the proud parents named their newborn Imarat.
“Thank God for the safety of my wife and my daughter in the building. We are incredibly happy to welcome our fourth child and have named him ‘Imarat’ on the occasion of UAE National Day. We named our second son Zayed after Sheikh Zayed, the founder of UAE, may God have mercy on him. These names are our way of paying tribute to this wonderful country,” said the jubilant Palestinians.
Obstetrics and Gynecology Consultant Dr. Mohammad Subhi Al Saad gave birth to a baby girl weighing 2.900 kg.
As the country prepares for a day of pride and celebration, baby Imrat is among the first few newborns at Abu Dhabi’s private hospital.
