Bangladeshi Islamic scholar, politician, lecturer and former Naib of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh Amir Allama Delwar Hossain Sayeedi, who served as a Member of Parliament representing the Pirojpur-1, Barisal, constituency from 1996 to 2006 passed away under treatment at hospital on Monday (August 14).
Professor of cardiology department of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University SM Mustafa Zaman confirmed this, He said that his pearls were not available since 6.45 pm. 7 o’clock 10 is taken on life support. Later at 8:40 am, Delwar Hossain Sayeedi was declared dead.
In Kashempur Jail, Delwar Hossain Sayeedi felt severe pain in his heart on Sunday (August 13) afternoon. He was first treated at a hospital in Gazipur.
As the situation worsened, he was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital at night.
Five rings are worn on the heart of Sayeedi, who is about 84 years old. He was suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes for a long time. Apart from this, he is suffering from various complex diseases related to old age, including pain in the ankles.
This former Nayeb Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami has been in jail since he was arrested on June 29, 2010 from his house in Shaheen Bagh of the capital.
The International Criminal Tribunal sentenced Sayeedi to death on 28 February 2013 for crimes against humanity including murder, rape, looting, torture and forced conversion.
