Ten countries are working to end the ongoing war in the besieged Gaza Strip and establish a stable government there. which is led by the United States. These countries are planning to remove the current Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas from power.
Countries are currently working on three fronts.
These include the release of Israeli hostages and a permanent cease-fire, a realignment of the Palestinian Authority, and the establishment of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel—rather than the creation of an independent Palestinian state.
Multiple plans are being considered. However, some of them are ‘conditional, vague and met with fierce opposition. ‘
One of the plans is to reduce the powers of the current President Mohammad Abbas and give all the powers to a new Prime Minister. That is, Abbas will remain president but will have no power. His position will be purely ceremonial.
The plan also includes sending an Arab peacekeeping force to Gaza to bolster the power of the new Palestinian government.
Besides, they are considering one more thing. That is, to pass a bill in the UN Security Council recognizing the Palestinians as a separate independent state. to which the United States shall consent.
