At least 58 journalists are still in Israeli custody, including six female journalists. Among them are 22 journalists from Gaza whose identities have been confirmed.
The Committee for Protecting Journalists, an international organization of journalists, said that 128 journalists and media workers have lost their lives since the start of the Gaza war. Which is the highest since the organization started its operations in 1992.
Meanwhile, the Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, known as Adamir, says that Israeli forces have arrested 108 journalists from Gaza and the occupied West Bank at different times in the past year.

According to Admir, at least 16 journalists have been administratively detained without any charge or trial.
Since October 7 last year, Israeli authorities have issued more than 9,000 administrative detention orders, including against children and women.
At least 41,909 people have been killed and 97,303 injured in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 2023.
