Former US President Donald Trump took a step forward in the race to become a candidate for the upcoming US presidential election. Former US President Donald Trump won easily in South Carolina’s primary election.
Harlene Haley is close to Trump despite being a South Carolina native and two-term governor. As a result, the possibility of his fight with the current President Joe Biden became brighter.
Trump also dominated in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, the US Virgin Islands and now Haley’s own state.
According to Edison Research, the US election-based research institute, South Carolina’s primary election was held on Saturday. Two and a half percent of the total votes have been counted. There, Trump received 63 percent and Nikki Haley received 36 percent of the vote. In other words, the former president has easily defeated his only opponent, Nikki Haley. There’s no telling if Nikki will make a big comeback in the next countdown.
However, before this vote, one after another opinion polls started to show that Trump is winning here. Although South Carolina is Nicky’s home state and he has been elected mayor twice. After the loss, Haley said she would not give up. “We have to beat Joe Biden in November,” he told supporters in Charleston, South Carolina. And I don’t believe Donald Trump can beat Joe Biden.
“I’ve never seen the Republican Party as united as it is right now,” Trump told supporters in Columbia, South Carolina, minutes after the vote. However, Trump did not mention Nikki Haley’s name in the 30-minute speech.
Meanwhile, Trump and Haley will participate in the Super Tuesday primary fight on March 5. Republican leaders from 15 states will compete there.
It should be noted that the presidential election is scheduled to be held in the United States in November. The current US President Joe Biden will fight from the Democratic Party in the election.
