Saudi Arabia has officially announced the start of the holy Hajj season of 1445 Hijri. Hajj and Umrah conference held in Jeddah announced the country’s Hajj and Umrah Minister Dr. Tawfiq al-Rabiyyah.
A three-day international conference on Hajj was held in Jeddah. Held under the supervision of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia, 80 ministers and heads of Hajj delegations from different countries, 27 government agencies and more than two hundred service providers participated in the conference.
The conference was held as part of the implementation of Saudi Vision 2030.
In this conference, 220 agreements on Hajj were signed with the public and private organizations of 76 countries. Besides, more than 50 workshops were held in this conference.
It should be noted that the Holy Hajj will be held on June 16 subject to sighting of the moon. Hajj visa issuance will begin on March 1 and end on April 29. After that, pilgrims will start traveling to Saudi Arabia from May 9.
The largest post-corona Hajj was held in June last year. 18 lakh 45 thousand 45 people participated in it, of which 16 lakh 60 thousand 915 were foreign pilgrims. In 2023, more than 13.55 million Muslims from different countries performed Umrah, which was the highest number in the history of Saudi Arabia.
