The main slogan of Netanyahu’s Likud party in the elections held in March 2020 was “Greater Israel”. Where Netanyahu promises to annex most of the West and unify it with Israel. Netanyahu also announced that the main objective of his next government would be to bring the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea under Israeli sovereignty.
In the last seven decades, the Zionist state of Israel has occupied 95 percent of Palestine. Today, Palestine refers to the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
However, Israel will not be satisfied with only occupying Palestine. Israel’s blue plan was revealed again in front of the world, the much-criticized Greater Israel plan emerged.
A documentary comes out just as the conflict threatens to spread throughout the Middle East. The documentary called ‘In Israel: Ministers of Chaos’ produced by the French-German magazine Arte Reportage was released this month. In it, Israel’s two radical Jewish leaders, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gavir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, talked about the project of a future ‘greater Jewish state’. Which again gave rise to criticism.
In the documentary, Smotrich claims that the future state of Israel will include the Palestinian territories as well as large parts of Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Syria.
Jewish religious belief calls for the establishment of Greater Israel, whose borders will stretch from the Nile River in Egypt to the Euphrates River in Iraq. And it is gaining support among the Israeli public as well.
The doctrine of ‘Greater Israel’ is mainly claimed by the Zionist Jews, where Israel includes large parts of Syria including Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Saudi Arabia as part of the land described in the Holy Bible.
This ‘Greater Israel’ project has been discussed for a long time. Israel’s Defense Minister Smotrich clarified that in the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. He also said that Jerusalem will be the capital of that state. Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gavir also fully supports this doctrine.
Tel Aviv’s plan for the West Asian region is largely based on the vision of Theodore Herzl, the founder of Judaism. Theodor Herzl was a Jewish journalist and author. He is considered the father of modern Jewish politics and the father of the State of Israel.
Herzl formed the ‘World Jewish Organization’ and brought Jews from different countries as immigrants to Palestine and tried to establish an independent Jewish state.
Despite extensive corruption allegations against him, extreme anti-Muslim sentiment developed within the Likud party for this reason alone. Due to which Netanyahu was elected head of the Likud party even after two defeats in the elections.
But many analysts believe that the Greater Israel project is not just a Zionist project for the Middle East, but an integral part of US foreign policy. The biggest supporter of this project is Donald Trump and his “Deal of the Century”.
Its strategic objective is to increase American hegemony in the Middle East as well as create a fracture in the Middle East so that these states are forced to accept the hegemony of Israel and the United States.
