A new gold mine has been discovered in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabian mining company Madden said on Thursday that it has discovered gold reserves at several locations.
Madden reported that new gold mines have been discovered in several places in the Makkah region of Saudi Arabia. They are located south of the company’s existing Mansura Masrah gold mine. They began prospecting in 100 km valley area in 2022 in search of gold mines. Gold deposits were found for the first time in this search.
Samples collected from various locations in the region show that the potential for high concentration gold is very bright. Two samples were found, one containing 10.4 grams gold per tonne of mineral, the other 20.6 grams.
According to the company that operates the mine, in 2024, Mansura plans to carry out extensive mining around the Masrah area.
Madden Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Robert Wilt said last October that they plan to double gold and phosphate production.
